For the first time Romania sends Air Defence specialists to Poland as part of NATO’s presence on its eastern flank

‘Maximum 10 minutes and we’re ready to fire, fully combat-capable.’

The 205th Air Defence Battalion from Romania is deploying 100 personnel abroad for the first time on a NATO deployment. They’re set to provide air support and cover for the multinational battlegroup heading to Poland as part of NATO’s enhanced forward presence on its eastern flank. The Romanians will also be joined by troops from the United Kingdom.
