"Aaaaaaaah !"

  The girl with light pink hair screamed her lungs out, putting an enormous distance between her and the weird dy. I had never seen anyone run that fast before.

  She was continuously dropping papers on the floor, while I was struggling to keep up the pace while holding Li.

  "Hm ?"

  "What's wrong, Li ?"

  "It's just that I haven't really seen ghosts before, I didn't know they wore heels."

  It was indeed fascinating, was it really happening, a ghost ? In this economy ? If I wasn't holding Li, I would definitely have started filming. Though... Would she even appear on the camera ?

  " S-she's a famous apparition, d-don't let her catch you or it will be b-bad..."

  For someone that could run that fast, she sure was frail and puny.

  "Ahhhh ! Behind you !", she suddenly screamed in our ears before raising up her middle and index fingers.

  The creature had leaped way above the fire the Melissi girl made with her tiny papers , nding perfectly on it's heels in front of me.

  "Shit."

  Melissi, noticing that ghost was no longer interested in her took the opportunity to hide in a cssroom nearby. This girl, she left us to die...

  Me and Li were sweating bucket as the saber of death came closer and closer. Closer, closer, closer. Until it was looking at me straight in the eyes. Raising it's arm way above it's head , preparing to nd a lethal blow.

  Fearing for my life, I used my right leg in an effort to kick it, closing my eyes in acceptance that this was the end.

  However, the only sound that followed was that of a massive "bang". I opened my eyes to see the saber on the ground and the monster traveling at the speed of sound through the corridor.

  "Damn, dude", were the only words Li said in response to what was happening to that ghost.

  Did my kick actually do that ? It made me consider what else I could be able to do. Now that I tought about it, Li had mentionned that karma stuff but I actually have no idea how to do that.

  Before she could even crash out the wall, the apparition used the momentum to it's advantage.

  "What the ?!", we said in unison.

  The creature was spinning around one of it's red heels above it's head at high speeds. It went so fast that only a trail of red was visible going in circles above it.

  "Quick, kick her again !"

  "Li, I'm slow as fuck because I'm holding you. I don't think it would let me put you down."

  "Are you saying i'm fat ?!"

  "No but your dumb hat is poking my chin."

  "No, your face is dumb ! My hat is fine !"

  "So childish..."

  She incessently poked my chin with the pointy end of her hat.

  During our little argument, we hadn't noticed the two big red eyes, eerie smile and evil presence near us. The monster crouched in the pce the saber rested, trying to reach it.

  "Gada !"

  An invisible impact crushed the apparition , diminishing it's size little by little.

  I recognized that voice, it was the Melissi girl. The voice came from one of the cssroom . It seemed like she didn't run away after all.

  "T-thank you for distracting it while I put all the stuff on the ground."

  I could see lotuses surround the creature, while it continued to be crushed. It's essence slowly but surely evaporating.

  "Exorcism is interesting..."

  "Come on now, magic is way more interesting . I mea, these guys just borrow their abilities from higher forces while all we witches do is hundred percent natural."

  "You must be fun at parties, Li."

  "Of course I am."

  This egomaniac witch wasn't listening to me at all.

  Melissi came out of the room, wiping sweat of her forehead.

  "Finally took care of that job."

  "Job ? You get paid to exorcise evil spirits ?!"

  "N-no, I get paid to exorcise evil karma ."

  "Not again with that karma stuff."

  "Were you not listening to me, it makes sense that she would say that. I told you, evil stuff manifest evil karma."

  "To be honest, I bcked out, haha."

  "You aren't charmed by the words of a beauty like me, preposterous !"

  I couldn't believe my ears that this sassy child would call herself a "beauty".

  "Hum, d-did you say w-witch ?"

  "Yes ? I am a most magnificent witch."

  "Was the magnificent part necessary, Li ?"

  "I see... F-figures with stuff like ghost r-running around. I thought he was joking when he said witches were real."

  "He ?"

  "The headpriest, h-he's the one who send us to ghost or demon sighting s-sight."

  The thought of this girl fighting an actual demon seemed far fetched in my head .

  "N-not important though. Miss Li, thank you for helping me. I-I swear i'll repay the favour. Pce... I almost finished preparing... You should come..."

  She quickly ran away from the scene after gassing up Li.

  "What about my thanks ?"

  "Come on, don't be like this.", Li said slowly but surely getting back on her feet.

  "Whatever, my body is far more important than that girl fanatism. By the way, did you see that nail polish she had on her index ?"

  "I wasn't too focused on that. Hm ? Oh, maybe you wanna try some, I can let borrow some of mine."

  She was weirdly excited about lending me some.

  "No, I just tought it was kinda weird that she decided to only paint her index and not her other fingers."

  "Creep..."

  "What do you mean ?! I-I just thought a yellow cross on a purple background was an interesting choice."

  "..."

  "Li ?"

  "Maybe I do need to look out for this girl. What you're describing is a tatoo that María woman has on her tongue."
