[Shout out to Zach P!]
Hollywood What If Chapter 180
A flight attendaly pushed the cart into the first-css se of the pne.
This se of the pne had many small rooms that were occupied by people who could afford first-css tickets.
The room was tiny, and at best only one person could use it. Still, in that situation in a po have that kind of privacy was a luxury. In fact, only a few airlines had first-css ses with such private rooms.
"Here's your meal, ma'am."
The flight attendant knocked on the door and informed the woman in one of the rooms.
"Thank you."
Stel Willow opehe room and thanked her.
Actually, this was her dinner. It was still 9 p.m. when she arrived at JFK Iional Airport to get to the pne.
In a sehe food she ordered was her dinner.
However, the sery outside showed that it was already m. The sun was shining. She looked out the window and all she could see was blue. The blue sky and the blue sea.
A few hours ter, she would be nding in Italy.
After leaving her position at NBC, Stel Willolied for the position of General Ma Grey Pictures.
She heard that this produ studio had made Taken and John Wick. She had seen those movies and could say that she was a fan.
More specifically, she was a fan of Directrey. As a produanager, Stel Willow realized that Kazir's filmography didn't have any simirities at all, except for the fact that they were made by one person.
His filmmaking style was different in each film.
Almost as if he had a referend just copied it.
All of his films didn't have the strong artistic style that most directors have. His films were made for the purpose of eai. It was amazing that Kazir Grey could trol and limit his artistise in filming.
Directors always have an artistise/style in them, it is their signature.
David Fincher loves to use gray and brown tones in his movies, which reflects the dullness/heaviheme in his movies.
Director Tim Burton, his movies were always gothic style. Whenever someohought of gothic style movies, Tim Burton was always on the list.
As for Quentin Tarantino. A famous director known for his portrayal of extreme violen his movies. And he loves filming actresses' feet for some reasons...
After watg all of Kazir's movies, Stel Willow realized that Kazir Grey evolved when he created Napoleon Dynamite.
His previous movies before Napoleon Dynamite are small-budget horror movies, and they are all ssher movies with blood spttering everywhere.
His first three horror movies had simirities, but he ged his style when Napoleon Dynamite came out. How could a director who made bloody horror movies make a wholesome edy? Where did the inspiration e from?
As for Se7en, which Kazir wrote and sold to New Line ema, she didn't feel anything strange about it. After all, Se7en was also a bloody movie.
'But his writing has definitely improved since Se7en.'
When she decided to work frey Pictures, Stel Willow began researg Kazir. Then she realized that Kazir's life had ged after his divorce.
"He is probably an iing guy."
Slig the medium-rare steak with a kel Willow recalled how she was hired.
The ma of Grey Pictures chose her because she was the most qualified for the position. The two people before her had experien show business, but their aplishments were nothing pared to hers.
As a produanager, she was responsible for so many TV shows on NBC. The performance of NBC was better because of her leadership.
At the age of 36, she was a career woman who proved herself to the world.
'With my savings, I didn't have to think about w anymore, and I even bought an RV to travel around the try. But I realized that my passion for my work is very strong and I want to work. At the very least, I want to prove to the people at NBC that I do better.'
When she heard that Grey Pictures was looking feneral manager, she used her es to apply.
First, she was ied in the produ studio because Kazir Grey nning something big.
Sed, she k would be difficult for her to get a good position in the Big Six.
Third, she could start her own business. Maybe a talent agency or a produ studio, but she was not a or a director.
'I be a producer.'
As a producer, she was good at managing people and teams.
Kazir Grey pns to create one big project that will tie all of his a films together. Obviously, his current project, The Bourne Identity, is part of that huge pn.
She was ied to see the result. No, she wao see the success of this project. So joining Grey Pictures was a good thing for her.
Before she was officially hired. First she had to meet Kazir Grey. They talked on the phone, but a face-to-face meeting was important.
So the pany bought her a first css ticket to Italy.
After eating her breakfast/dinner, Stel Willow realized that the pne was about to nd.
The flight attendant smiled and said goodbye to her. O the airport, Stel Willow found her tact who would take her to the set of The Bourne Identity.
"Miss Willow?" A young man in his early twenties greeted her. The man held a card with her name on it.
"That's right. What's your name?"
"My name is Palenque Simone. I'm Directrey's assistant."
Stel Willow nodded as she heard his name. After watg Taken, she became aware the same people might kidnap her after she left the airport.
She knew Palenque Simone would be her tact. That put her mind at ease.
