Chapter 25. Harem rules

"So the first thing I must prefres is that I will be expining a Centaur harem and how it works. Many species do it differently but there are some simirities." Yenem started off as she watched milk start to leak profusely from Zeldi's tits. "She is right you are good at that."

"Told you mother." Zeldi cooed, closing her eyes and just enjoying her pampering.

"The biggest simirity between Centaur and Human harems is that whoever it centers around must be able to afford however many mates they have. You are lucky in that regard as your farm makes you both endlessly desirable as a form of safety and income as well as life for some but hated by some producers that are forced to live with you. I advise you now that no successful harem is built by those that force others under them."

"Definitely not my style. Would rather a few as happy and dedicated as Zeldi is than a bunch of faceless holes to py with." I hoped elevated her mind.

"Good. Daxel in this instance is a well known bcksmith with a skill of infusing magic into the crystals of bdes. It is how he can support all three of us though if you listen to Heyt she believes he can support seven mares comfortably if we were to buy a bigger house."

Seven! Dam well done sir, I'd tip my hat if I had one.

"But even so Centaurs are forced into harems because of our birth rates." Yenem continued. "It's not too bad being around two females to every male born but it does mean we have to share and doing it this way incentivises males to actually do something instead of just expecting a mare to y with him just to get pregnant."

Both Zeldi and Yenem snorted at the thought, almost completely in sync.

"Now to form the start of a harem is actually the hardest part in Centaur culture as you need a stable income to support them and your first mare. Most of the time your first mare will become the head mare though in rare occasions the job honor will be given to another so it is a job many try for but at a cost. Centaurs avoid separating like a pgue and once it becomes known you have deserted a family without proof of being mistreated you have no future prospects."

Yenem made sure Zeldi heard what she said before continuing.

"So once you connect with a stallion that's it no do-overs. This is what makes head mares trustworthy as they have taken a chance on a stallion with their future and had it pay off, if they didn't, well most end their lives to avoid bringing shame to themselves for leaving. Hence it being the hard part. Most stallions will struggle to show they can support a family and that they are worth betting a mares whole life on but once you do have one and they find you... Acceptable it becomes their biggest boon."

That's. Interesting. I didn't think picking a partner was so life threatening for Centaurs. Makes me wonder why Zeldi was so quick to stick herself to me? Part of that had to be the farm but I'm gd her gamble payed off for her.

"So may I ask how Daxel got Heyt?" I asked getting a rge burst of milk from my own mare.

"Daxel's story is a bit unfortunate I'm afraid. With head mares to avoid a stallion being alone in their adult life most families will pair their sons up with a mare from a different family for most of their childhood to grow close. If a stallion treats them poorly and they choose not to be a head mare for them well they need to figure out way to woo another. Daxel had his childhood friend pass due to an illness and because of that threw himself into his work to avoid the grief. Heyt saw something in him then and offered herself to him. She took the time to bring him out of his depression and when he was ready she offered me a spot in their family."

"Dam. Sorry I asked, that sounds horrible."

Yenem waved it off. "I'm sure you've seen from the way Heyt acts but as head mare she has two main tasks. One keep all other mares happy and two make the family look as good as possible for other mares that may wish to join."

"But if the stallion makes the money why do the other mares need to look good?" I said as I finished one of Zeldi's boobs. I'd almost filled the bucket already with just one so I was definitely seeing a difference now that her production was increased. There was also significantly more milk than the size of Zeldi's one tit but I chalked that up to producer magic.

"Too gain the females the head mare wants." Yenem answered. "Remember for the family to be happy a head mare cannot just let anyone in so the better a family looks the more options they have."

"Quite right there." Heyt said spooking us all from almost right behind me. How did someone with hooves move so quietly? "There is one more important thing you haven't told him yet though Yenem. Mares refuse to have children until a stallion has at least two mares in his harem."

Heyt seemed curious about Zeldi being milked as she spoke.

"I intentionally left it out Heyt as Clovek has stated he doesn't want fouls until his farm is in better condition." Yenem answered without looking up from her task. Did she know she was behind me?

"Ah. A good thought but a little misleading as I doubt Clovek will just have Centaurs on his farm based on the stories we've heard about deed owners." Heyt nodded as if she was happy with that. "That still doesn't change the fact that Zeldi will not be getting pregnant until Clovek has secured another harem member."

It was said more as a statement or fact even though Heyt stared daggers at my mare, who seemed like she was on cloud nine and not paying attention.

"My milk is for Clovek, only he may drink it for now. No children until I can share my milk with another producer." She slurred trying to act drunk but the clear eyes gave away the lie.

Heyt looked at me as if to ask what was making her act like this.

"It's a common occurrence when she gets milked, at least by me." I lied.

Heyt smirked and held up her hand and in the process clearly showed off the ring on her finger. The very ring that would tell if someone was lying to them.

  Busted.

"The first time you have lied to me today Clovek. Part of me is surprised but you did it to continue Zeldi's actions so I can't fault you there." Heyt hummed. "But lunch is ready anyway. Are you done here?"

"Not quite. Still got about half left in this one and her back two left." I motioned towards Zeldi's tit I was currently massaging and the towards her back legs.

"We can skip my back tits. They don't give as much so we can wait till we return to the farm." Zeldi said adding her own hands into squeezing her milk out. It kinda ruined the whole massage I was giving but I could see why she wanted to finish faster.

"I almost forgot you had another pair." Heyt mumbled before nodding her head. "Then we shall set the table and wait for you to join us."

Yenem waited for both Heyt and Gally to leave before continuing her harem rules. "As said before being a head mare doesn't mean you get to avoid any of the main jobs of being a wife but other than that it's all pretty much the same. You will have to make a decision soon though Clovek."

"A decision on what?" I was almost finished with Zeldi by this point or more correctly she was fidgeting too much for me to properly finish.

"With how you want your harem to be structured. You are human so you could do it like they do with one being your wife while the rest are concubines."

  "Nope." I shut that down.

"Or you could do it the Centaur way but I don't think Zeldi is a good fit for a head mare." Yenem said with a frown.

"I could be." Zeldi interrupted now standing up having decided we were done.

"Certainly head strong enough." I sarcastically grunted.

"But not a leader. Unless my daughter has suddenly developed a new personality over the st four years but it doesn't seem like it." Yenem agreed.

"I could be if I get the right girls into his harem though mother." Zeldi said still trying to back up her status.

"My dear daughter you won't have the luxury of choice like other head mares do. You can't really refuse another producer just because you don't like them now can you?" Yenem was good at turning the situation around.

"No I guess you're right." Zeldi relented as she pulled her top back up. "But if there is a chance can I try to be a head mare for your other producers?"

The question was aimed at me and I shrugged. "We'll cross that bridge when we get there Zeldi. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I want our farm to look like so until we get another producer it's not a problem I will be trying to solve."

I just jinxed myself didn't I? Though with how Daxel's family is I can't see it being too much of a problem. Well I mean who am I kidding. Another woman would be amazing.

"Fine I guess." Zeldi relented with a role of her eyes. "But lunch first."
