The morning sun fshed upon Nier from above. As he looked up at the bright star above, it had been fifteen minutes since he fell from the sky and nded on this sandy beach.
From here the sight of the endless sea could be seen, as he noticed this he said.
"This is quite the beautiful sight, not gonna lie."
"Is this your first time on a beach?"
"No, not really. My mom took me to one when I was younger, but given the state of our world geometry, it is quite a rare sight indeed. We live on a massive supercontinent, so it is only normal that countries that have a coastline will be the ones that have access to a beach. Thankfully my country is one of them that does."
Nier said to Kaly, who was still hiding in his hood.
"I see."
Kaly replied back, but just then, Nier soon asked.
"By the way, Kaly, if it is not too much to ask, may I ask you why you know some things about me and other times you don't know?"
"Well, that's because I can see and hear out of the eyes or ears of anyone I contract with. As you should already know, since I have been doing that to you for a while now, well, the times when I am not around you, that is. That is why I know everything you experience in your physical body. Of course, I can choose when and when not to do this, or I can just straight up take possession of a vessel's body for a while, just like how, at times, I would take direct possession of your mother's body directly as per our contract."
Kaly expined to Nier, who just continued to walk on the coastline of the beach; on the other hand, Nier's reaction to this was a low sigh as he said.
"You know, Kaly, sooner or ter you're going to have to expin in detail all the shit you and my mom have done in the past. But for now, I can hold back on that; for now, it would seem we are being surrounded, so this wasn't just a normal free-for-all at all, ha?"
Nier said as he could sense multiple Flux around him; from the waters came a slithering army of blue-colored fishmen. They were tall and gross-looking; their bodies looked disproportionate as well, with the upper body looking vastly bigger, or rather bulkier, than their lower half.
They had uncanny-looking arms and hands; their arms were long and slender, and they had a total of six fingers on each hand. They look like the combination of a fish and a human; their heads were funny-looking as well, closer to that of a fish but had the formation of a human-like fish head on a human shoulder.
They had shark-like teeth as well.
And they didn't come alone, either.
From the water alone, Nier spotted a total of ten of them, but that wasn't the bad thing at all. They also started to come from the isnd jungle as well, and from in front and behind they emerged, bursting from the surface of the sandy beach as if hiding underground. It was clear this was a tactical ambush; in a matter of seconds, he was surrounded by a small army of fishmen.
However, from his hood, the two orbs of menacing red disappeared, and only darkness remained in the hood, as both his eyes went pitch bck as he began to use the Occultist Eyes to discern his enemies.
"So they are called Dagons, and they are Css D Fluxes in terms of power; concerning their nature, they are cssified as Css Red. This means they are extremely aggressive or violent in general and will most likely kill humans or harm them on sight. How troublesome."
Nier said, still keeping his hands in his pockets, he didn't need to do a single thing in this regard; nay, as a matter of fact, they were already dead.
grrahhhaaaAAARR!!
Their sights were clearly on him, and they all began growling and screaming out loud as they prepared to jump him... However!..
SLASH!
An invisible ssh shes out as a result of lethal intent, and because of that, the first Dagon to scream was the second to experience Nier's newly passive defensive magic.
Its face was cut deeply by a warning cut, as blood spttered and sprayed skywards as it screamed; both eyes were cut out in a vertical ssh that came out of nowhere.
Then what followed could only be called a massacre; the killing intent coming off these things makes them all a clear target for his Dismissal Ssh.
SLASH!
SLASSSH...SLASHHH!!...
SLASH! SLASH!
SLASSSSHHH! SLLLLAAAASSSHH!!
The orchestra of screams spread out in the area as some of the fishermen tried to attack Nier as they were being sliced, diced, carved, or just cut up into fine pieces.
The attack, or at least the attempt, did not even st a single minute; the battle was over before it even began. These D-ranks could have done nothing but be cut apart; in the end, their numbers meant absolutely nothing.
Seeing this Nier smile, he then said to himself.
"They all died so easily."
Then Kaly spoke once more.
"Dismissal Ssh is a very convenient spell, mostly because it activates on its own accord all the time based on intent instead of the user actively using it. Also, the sshes themselves have the means to bypass defenses and durability to a certain degree.
"So if its default attack power for any of the lethality levels can't cut a person, then it will naturally try to automatically determine how much negativity would be needed to make the ssh possible, so if you see your natural defenses don't work, it's because the enemy before you is not someone you can fight easily, as they are probably too strong or rather require more negativity than normal for the attack to work as it usually does."
Kaly expined.
"I love the detailed control that Unlimited offers its users. Still, there seem to be more Fluxes deeper in, and also another examinee as well, hehehe... Let's see how strong they are."
From there, Nier began to float upwards as a red aura of psychic energy made from his telekinesis spell began to bnket and coat his body.
The energy connected to his mind allowed him to fly upwards, as he soared towards the skies, till eventually he was so high up that he could scout the entire isnd from above.
His eyes then went bck as he used Occultist eyes, which increase his vision, and also read the information of any seeable target.
It wasn't long before Nier found what he was looking for.
Two people below were fighting each other.
