Nier watches as Darius is being sent to him by a giant bird, a Flux, no doubt. He screamed in panic as he was being dragged along; however, Nier just scoffed at this, extending his hand forward, and red psychic energy spawned on his targets.

  Nier grabbed both the bird and Darius, and in that moment, they stopped mid-air, and the bird began to screech, but Nier's grip was tight.

  "Ahh, what is this!?"

  Darius shouted as he began to panic.

  But just then, he heard Nier's voice as he said, with both hands in his pockets, holding him tight with his mind.

  "You're nothing special?"

  "The hell... You bastard…

  Darius said with an annoyed look.

  'First, that little girl with the visor, now this hooded fucker, I know these other examinees are strong, but isn't this a tad bit too strong? I can't even move; he is easily overwhelming me. AHHH FUCKKK THIS IS BAD!'

  '... And to make it worse, he is even belittling me.'

  Darius was fuming, but Nier was merely stating his opinion; whereas Darius would be treated as skilled and strong, to Nier, he was easily nothing to deal with.

  As such, Nier sighed as he folded his hands together and dismissed Darius's existence altogether while saying.

  "Oh well, I guess you can count as my first point, and by the looks of it you are quite the durable one too, to think you were sturdy enough to survive being buried alive so deeply underground and not succumbing to the pressure."

  "But you know everything has a breaking point; you are no different. So let us see how durable that body of yours truly is."

  Nier said these words in a cold, soft tone, causing Darius to sweat beads as he looked up at him, and only his glowing red eyes, visible through the darkness of his hood, were showing.

  "W-Wait a minute... Let us not hurt each o-o-other here. I am sure we can talk this out."

  He stammered in fear; however, his pleas fell on deaf ears.

  As Nier sent him flying straight upwards into the sky using his telekinesis spell as he travelled upwards at super-fast speeds, Darius screamed on his way up.

  "AWWWWWWWW!!"

  He traveled so fast that in a matter of seconds, Nier could no longer hear him screaming, but his power persisted as it kept carrying him skyward to the point that about two miles away, the Great Cleave was shown at such a close distance that for the first time in his life, he was given a glimpse at just how chaotic it truly is.

  A massive wound in reality, which was releasing a torrent of Flux, or negative energy as Nier has come to know it, was all seeping from across the other side, saturating Gaia completely in its horrific presence.

  As a chaotic storm, showing itself as a dark and ominous energy of the most vile of colors, alongside bck and red lightning flying across its surface, was present.

  But before he reached the cleave, in that moment, Nier's psychic energy faded, and in that moment, nothing was supporting him up; as such, there was only one way left to go, and that way was down.

  "SOMEBODYYY HELPP MWEEE!!...

  Darius began to cry out for help as he began plummeting back to the ground. The small isnd was clear before him, as from up here, all he could see was a speck of nd, surrounded by nothing but constant ocean waters all around it.

  "I don't want to die, I don't want to die... help me, help me, helpmeeeeeeEEEEE!!...

  Darius screamed as the ground came closer and closer, and before he reached the ground, he shouted.

  "I GIVE UPPPP!!"

  The moment those words left his mouth, Darius suddenly teleported while falling toward the ground from mid-air and nded back inside the facility. At this point, he was back in the portal room, his eyes still closed.

  However, quickly noticing the sensation, from falling to suddenly lying on a surface, he opened his eyes and saw the metal roofing.

  "What, I—I AM ALIVE?"

  He shouted while looking around him; however, he soon heard a voice from the front of him—well, three voices, to be exact.

  "That was quite the pathetic dispy you showed there, number 23."

  Lady Blue said with her hands folded, not even turning to meet Darius's horrified gaze; rather, her attention was elsewhere.

  She was looking at Nier, who was still floating in the sky, alongside a giant Flying Flux, one of the many Fluxes they pced on that isnd as an additional challenge. They didn't tell the examinees of their existence since it was a test of if they could handle doing battle with Fluxes; as such, the isnd was full of weak-to-mid-rank Fluxes and traps to truly gauge these elites among elites.

  However, as low-tier as these battles are, compared to the level of danger those at the top face, this was still a good way to spot the next batch of powerhouses.

  Still, Lady Blue was impressed by the dispy of power this batch of admission examinees was showing; in her opinion, the strongest here was without a doubt Nier, the Android, and another girl she was keeping her eyes on.

  Still, Melody, or Quick Feline, wasn't as mean as Lady Blue as she walked up, bent down, and offered a hand to the shaking man as she said.

  "Hey there, comrade, you look like you've seen a ghost, hahaha. I guess you kind of did. What Nier did to you was beyond mean. Ha, who would have thought he was that aggressive? Still, besides that, are you ok?"

  She asked with a gentle, sisterly smile.

  Darius looked at the hand and sighed while taking it, as Melody helped him up.

  "Thanks, yeah, I am good still. Who the hell is that guy anyway?"

  "Oh, him, examinee number sixty-nine, he goes by the name of Nier, quite the mysterious one. And he is super strong too, as you can see. However, I never imagined he was this strong; it feels almost unfair to have him take part in this exam."

  "Stop your whining, Lieutenant. And you, Dark One, your purpose here is done; you may leave the premises. We will have you come back in a month. For now, you can go to the front and collect a temporary occultist permit till your license is ready."

  The voice was childlike and cute, and it caught Darius's attention as he looked at the person speaking.

  It was another woman.

  She was floating in the sky, her body covered in a blue energy.

  She wore a single white dress; her breasts were small and cute, even to the point that she was almost ft. However, she had thick thighs and a rge butt and was well-toned and had a sexy shape despite her boobs being small.

  She had long and extremely curly blue hair that reached past her knees, which moved by itself like it was alive due to her strong aura, while she wore a white blindfold over her eyes, and the blindfold itself had a red vertical eye at the center.

  She floated towards Melody, circling around her as she looked at Darius and said.

  "Also, Lieutenant, stop giving away personal information; it's so unprofessional."

  "Ah, sorry, Miss Nikuhara, still though... I think we should give the guy a break; he was moments away from being smooshed."

  "Sigh, well, whatever."

  Darius said as he got up, causing Quick Feline to look at him and say while rubbing her head.

  "Sorry about these two, Number 23. That aside though, you can leave now since you were eliminated."

  "Ahh sure, should I just go back to the elevator that I came from?"

  Darius asked; however, Nikuhara just sighed as she extended her hands outwards and said.

  "Don't bother; I will send you to the front desk myself."

  And before Darius could say anything else, he suddenly disappeared from the very spot he was standing, as a glowing blue butterfly appeared in his pce. The butterfly then began to fly towards Nikuhara, who extended her finger outwards, and the blue insect then nded on it as she smiled while petting the small thing's head, as it turned back into her own Gaian energy and went back into her body.

  From there, Nikuhara then looked back at the rge screen showing the different battles taking pce in different parts of the isnd.

  As her eye nded on Nier.

  "So tell me, Alexis, that Nier kid—you seem to know him—where did a monster like that even come from?"

  "I don't know him all that well, but if he is the son of that man, then he is probably one of his experiments, just like me and the others. The Good Doctor was quite the eccentric fellow and was really good with his work; if he didn't have that woman as a wife, he could have easily made it far as a genius doctor... still, I don't know Nier well enough to give you a proper evaluation; he seems to be as strong as a level four, though."

  "Wasn't he a Collector according to the reports?"

  "It appears so; it would make sense why he has such an ominous amount of Flux energy around him. It would also expin why he has multiple abilities: first is his cutting ability, and second is the weird red aura that allows him to move objects when he spawns it around a target."

  "That is quite the high amount of praises; usually, you berate everyone around you. So for you to acknowledge this boy has me curious; you don't mind if I take him, do you? The association in Sector-7 could definitely use more capable occultists around here."

  Nikuhara said with a sly smile, as she continued by saying.

  "So far, we only have one other Level Five Hesta alongside myself, 3 Level Fours, and several people who could imitate the sheer devastating power those of that level can produce naturally with the aid of Flux items. Although he is a corrupt user, he is still beled as a parasitic user; in yman's terms, he could pass a humanoid Flux."

  Lady Blue, however, just shrugged at Nikuhara as she said, still looking at the feed.

  "As if I will make a powerful individual be used for minor bor, then again, it's up to him on what he wants to do."

  Those were the words that were echoed in everyone's head. Meanwhile, Nier was looking at the giant bird in front of him. He freed Darius from its talons before he himself sent him flying, but now that he was eliminated, it was now this thing's turn.

  And without wasting any more time, he killed as he ripped it apart using his psychic aura, pulling it apart with ease. He then began to scout the isnd for other examinees.

  "One down, twelve more to go... Let's start with the seer."

  Nier said to himself, as he began to fly towards Meld, who at this very moment was panicking.

  No matter how hard he looked or tried, he could not find any future where Nier existed in.

  "No matter how I looked at it, this isn't normal. Why doesn't he exist in any future whatsoever? What the hell is this man anyway? There is no way in hell is human right?

  Meld said to himself as he continued to run, till eventually he heard a voice in his head.

  "23 That was Darius, if that is the case, 69 is...

  "...Fuck that thing, already eliminated that tough fucker."

  Meld said to himself, but just then, he kept running as he jumped forward, doing a high front flip as a red line passed him. The red line was long, but in reality, it was a deadly ssh that would have cut off both his legs clean off if he hadn't seen it coming in the future.

  The ssh also cut multiple trees behind him as they all tumbled down, and Meld nded on the ground.

  "TSHH Show yourself, I know you are there."

  Meld said as he tilted his head to the side, and suddenly, a woman came as she said with haughty ugh.

  "HUHUHU!! My, My... So, your Melody's little brother, I got to say, as expected from someone who shares her blood, you don't disappoint at all."

  Meld, however, just looked on with an indifferent expression as he clicked his tongue and said.

  "You know, out of all the people taking this exam, you have no business here."

  "Oh, so you do know me. If that is the case, then you know why I am targeting you, right?"

  The woman said with a devilish smile.

  "...So you are still holding a grudge against my sister after arresting you so many times, ha? Still, what I don't get is why you, a vilin, is trying to reform, and you're still doing pitiful things such as this."

  "None of your business, kid, still they done call me Queen Bitch for nothing. I am not going to get another chance like this to half cripple a close family member to my long-time arch nemesis legally like this, ever again."

  The woman said while menacingly tilting her head.

  She was an older-looking woman, and despite her short frame and damaged body, she was quite the power house.

  She had pale skin, and had white hair, well half white, that being the left, and the right being bck. her hair was fashioned in a long pany tail. Her skin was pale, and she had a voluptuous build.

  And before she could even fight Meld she passed out on the ground.

  Meanwhile Meld looked up, and saw it, it was Nier, who shot right through her using Negative energy as an energy beam.

  As he looked at him and said.
