Chapter 10: Triple Resonance and the Biometric Bottleneck

The internal temperature of the workshop had stabilized at a crisp 20 degrees Celsius, thanks to the new ventition baffles Xenia had hammered into the stone. But the atmospheric pressure was rising.

Kaito sat at his primary console, the silver probes at the base of his skull humming with a soft, blue light. Through his Neural Interface, he wasn't just watching his three clients; he was monitoring their telemetry in real-time.

"Magistrate, the left grounding rail. Xenia, the center anchor. Vesper, the right intake," Kaito commanded, his voice a ft, synthesized drone. "The Neural Interface (Mk. I) is now sved to the chair’s core. For the next twelve minutes, my nervous system is your regutor. If one of you spikes, I feel the burn. If one of you drops, I fill the gap. Do not deviate from the breath-cycle."

Era sat in the center of the modified chair, her silver hair spilling over the brass headrest. Xenia was cmped to her left, her massive, gel-slicked thigh pressed against Era’s hip. Vesper, the Shadow Elf, sat on the right, her twilight skin still flickering as she fought the lingering Void-Friction.

The visual was a study in biological contrast: the porcein elegance of the Elf, the bruised-earth muscle of the Hobgoblin, and the misty, ethereal darkness of the Shadow.

"Kaito," Era whispered, her violet eyes wide as she looked at the silver wires connecting her wrist-restraints to the central hub. "The energy... it’s already vibrating in my marrow. Is the chair supposed to feel like it’s breathing?"

"It’s not breathing; it’s syncing," Kaito said, his fingers dancing over a holographic HUD only he could see. "Xenia’s thermal output is being used to pre-heat Vesper’s void-gate, which in turn creates a vacuum that will draw your congestion out at triple the standard velocity. It is a closed-loop system of peak efficiency."

  [Objective: Initiate Triple-Resonance Calibration]

[Data Point Potential: +500 (Masterwork Tier)]

[Warning: Neural Load at 88% Capacity]

Kaito stepped into the center of the triad. He was the fourth point of the diamond. He reached out, his left hand pressing against Xenia’s heated colrbone, his right hand cupping Vesper’s cold, misty jaw. He leaned forward, his forehead pressing against Era’s.

  "Handshake initiated," Kaito muttered.

He pulled the master lever with his mind.

The workshop exploded into a kaleidoscope of light. Violet, orange, and deep indigo bled together into a blinding, prismatic white. The sound wasn't a roar; it was a perfect, gss-shattering chord.

All three women arched back simultaneously. The scream was a three-part harmony of pure, unadulterated system-flush. The conductive gel began to vaporize, filling the room with a thick, aromatic steam that smelled of crushed lilies, woodsmoke, and cold iron.

Through the Neural Interface, Kaito saw their souls as raw data. He felt Xenia’s volcanic hunger, Era’s sharp, crystalline order, and Vesper’s silent, bottomless vacuum. He acted as the bridge, shunting the excess fire from Xenia into Vesper’s cold, and using Era’s structural mana to stabilize the Shadow Elf’s flickering limbs.

"Kaito!" Xenia roared, her cws digging into the leather. "The circuit... it’s too tight! I’m melting into them!"

"Hold the line!" Kaito shouted, his own eyes glowing a fierce, electric blue as the probes at his neck sizzled. "Vesper, open the gate! Era, vent now!"

The physical release was catastrophic. The magenta light reached a crescendo, and a wave of pure, stabilized mana washed over the workshop, blowing out the remaining gss beakers and scouring the soot from the stone walls.

  [Triple-Resonance: 100% Success]

  [Harem Resonance: Tier 2 Unlocked]

  [Data Points: +600]

As the machine spun down, the three women colpsed into a single, tangled heap of slick skin and exhausted breath. The chair groaned under the weight of the collective release. Era was draped across Xenia’s chest, while Vesper’s head rested on Era’s p, her violet eyes finally peaceful.

Kaito stood back, his vision flickering with red "High Load" warnings. He wiped a streak of blood from his nose—a minor capilry burst from the neural strain.

"Efficiency rating: 210%," Kaito said, his voice trembling only slightly. "The Triple-Array is the optimal configuration for this facility. No further scaling is required for the current hardware."

"You... you absolute madman," Vesper panted, her voice real and solid. She looked up at him, the unreadable intensity in her eyes repced by something much closer to the 'unresolved interest' Kaito had noted earlier. "I’ve never... I didn't know the Void could feel warm."

"It’s just thermodynamics, Vesper," Kaito said, though he allowed his hand to linger on the brass rail for support.

He walked to his desk and looked at the map Vesper had sketched during the cool-down. It was the interior of Thorne’s private vault at the Spire—a high-security box guarded by an Inquisitor-grade biometric lock.

"Vesper has identified the location of Thorne’s shadow-ledger," Kaito said, looking at the three women. "It contains the names of every official he’s bribed. But there’s a problem. The vault doesn't open with a key. It opens when it detects Thorne’s specific mana-frequency. If we try to pick it, the arm notifies the entire Guild."

Era looked up, her silver hair tangled. "If we can't get that ledger, we have no proof. Thorne returns in forty-eight hours with a legal mandate to burn this workshop to the ground. My 'provisional' excuse won't save us a second time."

"I don't pn on picking the lock," Kaito said, adjusting his spectacles. "I pn on spoofing it. Through the Triple-Resonance, I’ve captured enough data from the three of you to synthesize a master-frequency. If we can get back into the Spire, I can trick that vault into thinking Thorne himself is standing there."

"Back into the Spire?" Xenia growled, a slow, predatory grin returning to her face. "You’re talking about an armed heist against the Guild’s inner sanctum."

"I’m talking about a hostile takeover," Kaito corrected, picking up his soldering iron. "Thorne thinks he's the one conducting an audit. In forty-eight hours, he’s going to find out that his entire career has been liquidated."

Kaito looked at the probes glinting at his neck. The blue light of the Interface flickered one st time.

"System," Kaito whispered. "Begin the 'Acoustic Dampening' instaltion. We need to be silent for this next part. And prioritize the 'Neural Spoofing' sub-routine."

He turned back to his workbench. The clock was ticking, the harem was unified, and the target was in sight.
