I was forced to sit in a meditating position, as Li's mom pyed with her Pastension 5. She didn't feel like an old dy at all, be it appearance wise or behaviour wise.

  I'd never seen an old dy wear sneakers in the first pce. Maybe in 1200 years, you have the time to experience all the trends in the world.

  "I can feel you aren't focused. Your karma points are all over the pce."

  She said, smashing the X button on her controller. I hadn't noticed but she also had an earpiece.

  "What do you by mean stop pying FPS on controller, you dumbass ! Haven't you considered that i'm just way too good with one to begin with !"

  I was beginning to wonder who was the kid in the retionship between Li and her. She definitely didn't act her age at all. Also, for being the fruit of her century long research, isn't she way too comfortable sitting on those weird circles to py ?

  A chill ran down my spine. I didn't understand where it came from.

  "Wait a second !"

  I dodged by instinct but why the hell had a fork tried to stab me ? Besides, why was it levitating ?

  " If you don't focus, that fork will hit your eye, I guarantee you that. "

  "Don't try to put a fork in my eye !"

  "If you don't want that happen, focus and manifest your karmic energy."

  "How the hell do I do that when you haven't expined shit ?!"

  She sighed, as if she had no intention to expin in the first pce. This old dy was definitely very disinterested in people other than herself. Once again, I could see where Li gets the deep seated narcicism from.

  "Karma mainly comes from your chest and stomach, for some species, using it is as easy as breathing. Wich was my point before, there's no way a nephilim is unable to use karma naturally."

  "But how ?"

  " I didn't make you meditate for nothing. First, actually close your eyes instead of looking at my amazing gamepy."

  I obeyed her.

  "Visualise energy flowing in and out of your body constantly."

  I could see my whole body with a flow of energy inside it working like a self supplying system. Is that the process that helps Li cast those spells ?

  For some reason, she stayed silent for a moment before continuing.

  "Yup... Half breeds are definitely something, their energy output is always amazing. I wish I could say the same for Li but it's maybe better if she doesn't have that much, I don't want her to lose anymore of her lifespan after all."

  "Hm ? What do you mean about Li and losing her lifespan ?"

  "She wasn't going all out against that Lady."

  How ?! I feel like litteraly destroying the whole area was quite a feat already.

  "I implemented a rule for her to never go all out, she would litteraly die if she did. I don't want to lose someone precious to me again."

  I couldn't help but wonder what she meant by again... Now that I thought about it, since Li is a half breed, wouldn't that mean her dad is a human ?

  "What happened to Li's dad ?"

  The sheer murderous intent I felt after asking that question was litteraly suffocating me.

  "S-sorry, I shouldn't have asked..."

  "I know you're only half human but any kind of human asking me that question makes me want to strip them of their organs."

  Yup. She was definitely a witch.

  "Well... What should I do after I visualise the karma ?"

  "Think about yourself, what do you see yourself as when you focus on your individuality ?"

  First, I thought about the fact I was a male before all this . I was still pissed off she couldn't do anything about it after all. Then, I visualised my body now, golden wings sprouting from my back and a halo above my head.

  "Ah, you finally did it ! You managed to draw out your origin. Congratutions, you can now become half-angel."

  I felt like my feet weren't on the ground. I was right, I was floating.

  She handed me a mirror.

  The halo and the wings I saw in my vision were there, the only differences being the halo was like an incomplete circle that ran across my hair and I had a single wing that was grey.

  I wondered how the hell would I expin that if I went to school like that.

  "Since you've just recently drawn out your true form, you shouldn't st long in it. I'd say 5 minutes at best and 1 minute if you draw out too much energy ."

  "I see..."

  "Why don't we test it out ? I can't trust you to protect my Li if you're not up for the task ."

  " Why do you want me to protect Li so much ? You're pretty strong, I feel like you could do that yourself."

  "That's true... However, the issue is that I won't always be there for her. One of my acquaintces can see the future, she's a witch who survived the "hunt"."

  "Hunt ?"

  "Not relevant right now. One year from now, Li will be involved with a very bad person. I couldn't believe my ears when she said my daughter was gonna befriend an apostle. You see, while she may act like she does, she's a really nice and compassionate girl, if not a little bit crazy and delusional."

  "Yeah and from what I heard, it's a way more dangerous one than that imbecile. They said this one has the power to manifest disasters. She will be the reason the world will end in one year. I honestly hope she doesn't run into that blonde girl with no joy in her eyes."

  That sounded quite familiar. It reminded me of that girl in Santa Maria who literaly never smiles or ugh. She's quite never seen talking with anyone at school.

  Thinking about the school, I remembered something extremely important.

  "Wait a second, I almost forgot. What's the deal with that yellow cross that woman had ?"

  "Oh, that ? It's the mark of martyr. Every apostle has one. The way it's usually pced directly correte with the personality of the apostle. That woman like to run her tongue a lot and engage in... actually, I shouldn't say that to a teenager... Let's just say she's the definition of Lust incarnate."

  Ew.

  "I don't wanna know anyway but why do you know so much about her ?"

  "Ah, I knew that girl before she turned psycho. I have no idea what made her so depressed that she accepted a god's deal but she wasn't like this. Well, except for some part I'd rather not talk about."

  "I was wondering because one of our acquaintance, Li and me, has one of those mark on her nail polish."

  She was shocked.

  "I'll be real with you, it most likely isn't a polish, you should be careful about that girl. If I were you guys, I'd be on the lookout for any excessive behaviour that stands out."

  "Well, she's kind of a coward."

  "Think of it this way, alter ego can alter your personality. At this point, would you really be sure she's a coward or is it the alter that had take over ? In cases like this, the cursed personn most likely had a twisted personality in the first pce."

  It was hard to imagine Melissi acting like the fire maniac to be honest.
