  I couldn't believe my eyes as I looked at my reflection in my pocket mirror. Who knew that guy was so talented at dressing hair ? I can't even remember how long it was st time I had braided pigtails done.

  " I gotta say you're pretty good,dude."

  " I-it suits you, Miss Li."

  " Yeah, she's rocking it. It goes well with that oversized hat."

  " My hat is not oversized !"

  " Since we're here, why don't we try that cristal ball ? "

  " I-I a-always wanted to see if t-those things were the real deal."

  " You may be cute but you're not that smart. Everybody knows those things are just balls without substance."

  Melissi stomped violently Marth's right foot, causing him excruciating pain.

  " Alright, alright. Sorry, you're perfectly smart. You'll see soon enough that I'm right though."

  " Meow."

  " What is it saying, Gremlin ?"

  " That you're the dumb one."

  " Screw that cat !"

  " I mean, did I not read out my mother's message on the card ? You should know it works at this point."

  I made sign for everyone to gather around to inaugurate that ball."

  Sorry but me and Alma need to leave, I have piano lessons in like one hour."

  They wished me a happy birthday as Aria and her ghost friend left. Leaving me there with Melissi and that guy.

  As as I was setting up the table,putting the old ball on the shelf and pcing the new ball on the table, I suddenly felt a shill down my spine.

  I had felt this sensation before in the past, everytime dark karma was used. However, nothing in this pne of existence could ever have that amount of bad karmic energy flowing around them.

  Thinking it must be a mistake, I continued all the same. Melissi also seemed to react to it.

  " You felt it too, Melissi ?"

  Suddenly, her expression changed instantly. Switching from a surprised expression to her usual worried one.

  She had been quite weird tely, I guess she may stressed. Maybe I am imagining things ?

  " I have a bad feeling about this", Marth expressed.

  " W-why ? It's j-just a silly ball, isn't it ?"

  " No need to get all sarcastic."

  The feeling couldn't leave my mind.

  " Let's get started."

  We set up the ball, as I followed the guidelines that were written along with it by my mother's friend. Nothing happened for five minutes before all the lights turned dark and the ball started to shine.

  It was reflecting all our faces on it's surface before swinging to complete darkness.

  " W-what is happening ?"

  " I don't know."

  Immediately, the ball resumed it's activity as it actually started projecting the future. It showed to us a blonde girl with scissors in the bathroom of this school talking to something we couldn't see.

  " I feel like I've seen that girl before."

  " Y-You know her,Miss Li ?"

  " Not really."

  In an instant, the ball projected sounds of agony, students burning to death and monsters tearing their bodies apart bit by bit.

  " T-this is horrible. I'm g-gonna throw up..."

  " I refuse to believe that's the future ! I'm telling you that thing is a hoax,gremlin !"

  " I doubt it. All of my mom's friends predictions eventually came true. Those weird images also makes sense with this dark karma I've been feeling in the air all this time."

  " Yeah, I've been feeling it too. It's quite uncanny, as if something vile is watching me."

  " Y-yeah..."

  Those images started as soon as I saw that girl. They also...weirdly ressemble how my mom research described the end of the world. She definitely has a connection to all of this.

  " Stay there, I think I may understand. I'm going to get that girl !"

  Thus, I left them in there,as I ran outside, in search of that girl. Fortunately, I remembered her face from the ball but managing to find someone in this school isn't an easy task at all.

  " Girls, don't you think it's time Allison learned her lesson again."

  I recognise this voice, it was that girl named Jessica. From the sound of it, she's pestering someone. If that girl stayed out of trouble for one minute, not of that fiasco st time would have happened. She's so annoying.

  I heard a clicking sound as I slowly but surely escaped Jessica's gaze.

  In front of me were the girl's toilet, blocked by chairs and a lock.

  " So that's what this girl was doing...I understand why he despises her..."

  Not like those silly chairs and lock were gonna stop me though.

  I created a portal to enter the other side and almost immediately regretted my decision. The air was completely suffocating. It was like the karmic energy in the air was trying to strangle me. Is she developing a karmic talent ? No way, the density of dark karma in there is not normal...

  I've only ever felt that amount of dark karma...

  On that crazy fire dy.

  No way ! There's no way this girl is an apostle, right ? I thought those guys were rare...

  As, my worries were right as I could see her eyes fsh with yellow crosses and a purple hue before turning blue.

  " What the ? How did you get in here ? "

  " I used magic to enter here."

  I answered, confused and not sure of what was happening.

  Even though this wasn't exactly the ideal situation, I couldn't help but notice the object in her hand and where it was pointed at.

  This girl was pointing scissors at her neck, the tip already close to the dangerous range.

  I couldn't live with myself if I didn't do anything there.

  " Um, what are you doing ?"

  " It's none of your business."

  " Who turns their back on someone about to commit suicide ?!"

  " I hate self righteous people like you... Go bother someone who wants you to care."

  " No! Not until you drop these scissors on the ground !"

  "Attract."

  I attracted the scissors to my hand, preventing that girl from doing something she couldn't take back.

  " How did you do that ?"

  What should I do ? I know she doesn't feel comfortable right now ? She must feel incredible pain. How can I make her rex even if just a little ?

  Maybe I ... Yeah, maybe that could work...

  "Impressed, eh ? I expect no less from a mere mortal. After all, you have in front of you, Li Heisenberg, witch extraordinaire."

  I amped up the antics to one hundred in an attempt to calm her down.

  " A witch ?"

  She said, completely unconvinced.

  After some thorough expnation and convincing, I managed to convince her to go to the occult club. She kept making dismissives remarks towards me as we went there.

  As soon as she entered, my cat, Melissi and Marth shriveled in fear. It was understandable, as the amount of dark karma that girl was emanating was not normal. Even those apostle don't exude that much.

  However, it made sense, she must has had negative feelings for a majority of her life. Making her almost unable to produce good karma. The amount she produces is a result of her own condition and perhaps something more sinister...

  After all, all these apostles serve some gods. It wouldn't be impossible that a god of evil exists out there.

  Even though we presented this girl with phenomenon that were very obviously supernatural in nature, she still wouldn't believe I was a witch or anything else reted to magic and stuff. I didn't know someone could be so hard headed.

  Perhaps, she did believe what she saw in the end as she ran away after witnessing the events demonstrated by the cristal ball.

  " I'm going after her."

  Unfortunately, I was too te...the school was already engulfed in fmes. Dozens of monsters coming out portals everywhere I ran. The frontier that exists between the human realm and their realm was definitely breached.

  I know those apostle have to give up on something trough the form of a wish to fully become one but what sort of wish would cause this.

  As I tried to join back with Allison, I was grabbed and projected headfirst on a wall ten meters from my initial point.

  " That one hurts."

  " Li ! Be careful! "

  That Allison girl screamed, preventing me of the imminent danger. The being that projected me was an elemental made of fme.

  " I see. While it can grab me, it doesn't actually have a physical body."

  I crossed my arm, as I readied myself to unleash a spell that would have gotten rid of this creature. However, it was way too fast and managed to hit me right in the stomach, burning it's surface.

  As my consciousness almost faded, I could notice the Allison girl talking to herself. Completely ignoring the creature in front of her.

  " I...need...to...do.... something..."

  As I struggled to find the force to stand back up, I managed to do it even so trough sheer force of will.

  Walking, slowly making my way to Allison...

  She was however now cd in pure silver armour, a sword with a butterfly handle in her hands and both of her eyes back to the purple state.

  There was no doubt about it at this point, she definitely was an apostle. Easily defeating the beast by dispelling it's form, trough a strong gust of wind, caused by her sword making contact with the air trough a sshing attack.

  Unfortunately, I could sense the same energy emanating from that sword in those fmes that now covered what was Santa Maria.

  " What did you do ? What did you see ? What did you ask for ?"

  " A stranger red eye with a bck pupil and an eerie smile covered by dark tentacles told me about some kinda apostle story. It's not the first time I saw that thing. But with all the things happening now, I feel like it was real. That weird other persona that came out of me right now said to me that they're gonna use the power of disaster to save the day, something like that."

  I see, so because she's already someone negative, her alter ego affects her personality differently than the usual, where it's the positive aspects of her psyche that are enhanced.

  " What did that eye promise you ?"

  " It talked about granting a wish it saw deep inside of me.It wanted me to become an apostle of Apophys, something along those lines."

  " Wouldn't that mean that ...you wanted the world to burn ..."

  No way someone gets to the point where they would want the whole world to burn ? Right ? In my little bubble, I didn't even manage to notice there are people that feel that miserable in this earth...

  Wait a second... Apophys ? Did I hear that right ? I once read a passage of my mom's research about that god.

  That god is a manifestation of chaos, darkness and evil itself. Nothing good would ever come out of being associated with it to the extent an apostle is.

  I need to get Mom so she could help with sealing that thing that's using her as an apostle. It's too dangerous to be left alone. Even that crazy dy never caused such an event as what happened today.

  " We should join the others and get out of this school, we won't live for long if we don't."

  She probably would but seeing people die in front of eyes would probably accentuates the control that thing has over her .

  I decided, I'm gonna make sure she stays sane and try to influence her for the better to prevent that god from having complete dominance over her.
