Ssh, the red fruit is cut in half, the delicate hands of Mom throwing it into the pot.
"Hm, it smells really good, Mom."
Despite the fact she isn't pleased about the way I refer to her, she stills pats my head nonetheless.
The year was 2023 and the sky was quite beautiful.
As I looked through the window, Mom got closer with the mixture she had been concocting.
"Alright, time to dig in!"
The first spoon was sour, the second sweet and the st spicy. It was pretty clear that Mom had no idea how to make decent meals.
Still, I couldn't bme her, after all...
"If you have finished eating, you should go prepare yourself for school."
She wasn't my mom...
"Alright..."
I don't know of the exact circumstances why but ever since I accepted this contract with Ctü, my body as well as my mental age were stuck at the level of those of a ten year old.
Even though some much time had passed, I still looked like a small child.
This wasn't the only problem though, unless I was constantly in contact with Ctü, incomprehensible words were hammering my head. The sensation was always quite painful.
"I shouldn't have to remind you but I'll do it just in case. What are the rules?"
I sighed. Ctü really had taken it into their heart to make me completely understand those rules.
"One: Never Separate yourself from that red bagpack.
Two: The answer isn't always violence.
Three: No matter what, keep a smile on your face."
"That's right, now scram."
"Ok, Mom, see you ter."
Ctu let out a sigh, as if bothered by something.
I moved along, leaving through the door, ready to go to school.
"Why am I indulging that human child? There's no way I could feel pity so why..."
It was st year that I met him, the guy that would end up becoming a great influence in my life. Even though I didn't always agree with his method, sometimes he made compelling argument when it came to them.
"I have to hurry, otherwise I'll get in trouble."
As I amped my pace to catch the final bus, I bumped into a peculiar man.
"Ouch! I'm sorry."
Oddly, he seemed to be fine, without even a spec of dust on his clothes. Remembering Ctu's words, I reached for my back.
I couldn't feel anything.
"Perhaps, it's this you're searching, my child?"
I was pretty sure it wasn't that easy to steal that bag as he wasn't the only one that tried, I didn't exactly know how it worked but there was some sort of mechanism that always reattached it to my back after it left. Ctu must have taken preventive measures.
"Fascinating, it is as if God didn't just chose me to partake in his trial. So, in the end there were others like me."
He offered me a hand, helping stand back up.
"My name is Father's Jades. Just like the dark star, I shine better in times of obscurity."
"Sorry but Mom says I shouldn't talk to strangers."
At the time I didn't know how deeply rooted of an influence just meeting this man would be to me.
After that period, the rest of my memories are blurry, like they were removed artificially.
